My Media Server Has No Connection To My Library

Server Version#: 1.42.2
Player Version#: 5.93.2

I lost power a couple of weeks ago and shut down my NAS (QNAP TS453a) - I’ve been running a plex server on there for years with no problems. When I restarted the server and opened plex, my library was missing. I updated to the latest version, but still no library. It’s like Plex doesn’t even see the server, and I’m not sure how to make it do so. There is no place to re-establish connection to my library in plex settings. Not sure where to go from here.

See server logs on how to get a copy of your database logs. I am going to be you probably have a corrupt database.

Please follow up with this. I had a similar thing where I had an outage then updated everything when I started it back up and can’t see my anime or half my tv shows.

I can’t access the server logs from Plex, and I have no idea how to find them in Qnap.

Ok, so I had the network cable plugged into port 3 instead of port 1 (there are 4 network ports). I did not know that it mattered which one it was plugged into, and I assumed it had a network connection since I was able to access the server with my laptop, but I guess it was a local connection. Anyway, I plugged into port 1 and Plex found my library. Now it just has to rebuild the damn thing because I messed up and deleted the server from my list of authorized devices (I was trying everything). So that happened. Thanks anyway for the input.

A server which has been deautorized can be re-claimed without it losing all data: (Re-)Claiming a QNAP Plex Media Server
