Just updated to Version 1.41.2.9200. New update no longer sees my library

Server Version#: Version 1.41.2.9200
Player Version#:
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I just upgraded my QNAP NAS to the above mentioned update. Unfortunately the new PLEX app no longer sees any of my library, either on Safari or on any of my TV’s, as shown in the screen shot.

I have stopped and restarted to no avail…both the app itself and the entire drive. Not sure what to try next.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Sounds like the server became unclaimed. Try logging directly into http://[Local Plex Media Server IP Address]:32400/web or use the claim tool GitHub - ChuckPa/UserCredentialReset: User Credential Reset utility for Plex

Tried both…same same, unfortunately. I also checked the NAS…all the files are there and it’s totally accessible, but Plex is showing no visible libraries.

Is there a way to roll back to the previous version?

Does http://[Local Plex Media Server IP Address]:32400/web show a web page?

Rolling back isnt going to be your best bet, Can you grab a copy of your server logs?

File under pilot error.

I deleted the previous version instead of installing over it, and in so doing lost all my settings. Had to set up the libraries from scratch.

Any way to find the old settings via Time Machine and relink them to the media? Not even sure where they live.

Otherwise I have some work to do.

I have the same issue on my Qnap TS-453E. Tried the following unsuccessfully:
Roll back Qnap firmware
Upgrade to beta PMS
Disable QuFirewall
Remove/reclaim server
Reinstall server from scratch
Allow insecure connections from same network

I am able to access Plex via Hybrid Station but not anywhere else on my home network.
If I disable the relay, I show remotely connected on my laptop. Android apps and various media boxes are offline on the same network.

I have also toggled dns-rebinding protection off on my router which didn’t help. Pfsense just rolled out an upgrade, but this was the only change to my network besides updating plex.

@madapiarist the networking on your QNAP is all messed up:

I am seeing your NAS on 3 different IP subnets.

@dmatich Do you have a backup of your plex directory? There are a couple of db files and an xml file that can be used to restore your server.

Would it be in the Mac’s Library files in the OS? If so, then I most likely do.

Add a post on this as I too have this issue.

I have a QNAP NAS running Plex on AppCenter. I upgraded to the newest version and also split the NICS that were trunked.

Since then I have lost my access to the servers library under my main account. I have another standard account that I use for general streaming and that account can still see the libraries.

I do not know where the QNAP stores its App Data so cannot find anywhere to get backend access to the files.

I can access the Plex Server interface on both internal IPs but there is no access to the management to cannot try and re-authenticate. I see the NAS in My Devices also as an approved device.

This is very odd and hope someone can please help us on this.

Im having the same problem lately after the update. but im running the server on a Nvidia Shield android device not my pc. am i just stuck uninstalling everything and setting it back up from scratch?

I’m having the same issue, my current plan is to buy an SSD, move everything off server and onto that, fully wipe the server then move it all back across. This has happened twice, I’m just going to stop updating the server because it’s just mad having to do this.

Have you tried that before and it worked?
Currently my server works and about every hour it disconnects multiple times then works again for a while. Tells me it can’t reach the server and a few minutes later it works again. I have no idea if there’s something to do or just wait for an update/patch

@dmatich that would be in the QNAP backups probably.

@g4zz3g Please create your own thread and post your server logs, I dont think your issue is the same, and Id rather not troubleshoot multiple different issues with multiple users on the same thread.

@Zjerns No, but again please post your own thread

@bbbqc lets troubleshoot your issue, not updating your server is a bad idea. Its better to address the issue you are having. Please create your own thread for troubleshooting.

@dbirch yeah I submitted one here: Help! Plex not seeing server after running update
