I added a new movie today to the library and on doing a rescan all the content disappeared. I have no idea how to get it back
HOW did you add that new movie?
By copying it into a folder on hard disk, which is being watched by Plex?
Or did you edit the library configuration?
Are your movies stored on an external hard disk, which you unplugged in the course of adding the movie?
