I pay for Plex pass and expect better quality than this. I have my movies on my computer and use a Samsung Smart TV to access them. Sometimes they play fine and other times they play then buffer every 5-10 minutes. I have not noticed any correlation with this issue and my internet speed.
May I suggest you give a lot more information.
Like what version of software you are using Plex , windows, mac etc.
What format and codec are the movies?
What size are your movies?
What is the server? i.e. is it a PC running PMS - what specs?
Is it the same movie that plays fine “sometimes” ?
And unless you are watching your movies remotely your internet speed is irrelevant!

- wired or wireless network connection (plex server to your router, router to your tv)?

So all my movies are stored locally on my computer…which would then need to make sure it doesnt sleep and loose an internet connection for me to be able to access the movies from a network connected Samsung Smart TV and I also access it via a Roku… I have not found any other way to store the files where I don’t have to make sure my computer is awake first so please if you have a recommendation for that would be very helpful.
As for the buffering issue, the movie I was wanting to watch last night that would not load, I have attached all the technical data.
