My movies keep disappearing from my Plex Movie Library. I have seen other posts where people are complaining about the same thing with no resolution. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?
To be clear, My Plex Server reads from a separate drive where I keep all of my movies. Every time I open Plex movies will literally delete from my movie library, but they are still on my storage drive.
Settings - Server - Library - “Empty trash automatically after every scan” = DISABLE
Thank you for your response. I have unselected that option now. How do I add my movies again? I have tried to rescan with no luck.
They should come back after a scan.
If they don’t, your external drive may have changed its drive letter or a folder name.
I which case you better restore its former drive letter and folder names. Make sure this won’t happen again, by making the drive letter permanent.
You can then restore a backup of the main Plex database Restore a Database Backed Up via 'Scheduled Tasks' | Plex Support
