My plex is dropping

I have always used Plex as a media server.
One think that made me happy was when I bought my WD My Cloud, it came with Plex “pre-installed”, so I finished my configuration and started to use.

Everything was OK. I had months without any problems, but 2 weeks ago I´ve moved to another house and ever time that I tried to watch a movie, it stopped every 7-10 minutes, so I have to close and open Plex to restarted and them it stops again.

What could be the solution?

Before getting to a solution… let’s try to figure out the actual problem :wink:
Are you using the same clients as before or do you e.g. have a new TV from where you watch your media?
Also… how is your WD MyCloud connected to your home network? Are you using WIFI or wired connection (same question for the clients)?

Edit: do you get that behavior with all videos or only some of them?

1 - I did not change the TV. I am using the same as the past.
2 - My WD is wired connected in my internet provider router. My PC is using the wi-fi as the chromecast. Everthing as same as the past
3 - All videos. Inclusive the ones that I´ve already watched at the past.

The only different thing is the router from my internet provider. They sent me a new one.

Please check the following:

  • start playing a movie on one of your clients
  • while playing, go to Plex Web and open the Dashboard
  • have a look at what the Now Playing box says about the playback

Can you copy/paste that info (or a screenshot)?

Here is the screenshot running and when its stopped.

are you sure this is actually local playback (considering the IP address it shows next to the Local doesn’t seem to belong to a local network)

Yes. For some reason it was not running locally.
I’ve changed. And now it’s working perfect.
