My Plex was Hacked and the Email and user name was changed

Has anyone had this happen to them?
The User was changed to Xed622 and email to naimurnafixed@gmail.com

can you share some more details of how you noticed this?

I got an email from plex telling me that Plex account email has been changed

have you checked your server?
can you check this is actually from Plex and not some phishing attempt/hoax?

Oh yes. it was definitely changed and the email was an automated message from plex

The persons email (naimurnafixed@gmail.com) Has a Google Hangouts page under the name Naimur Nafi.

is this still an issue or have you got your server back?
Is your server hosted on a system that is directly connected to the internet ?- - rather than a local network and behind a router

I have it back. its connected to a cable modem. no router with nord vpn

I used Paypal to pay for Plex service then my Paypal and Plex was hacked. I am pretty sure, plex users data has been compromised.

so probably you went through a phishing link for paypal or your PC was already compromised

You need to make sure your PC is free of any malware
