My Plex?

What is not supported:
* My Plex logins or Plex Pass features.

Is there any way to bring My Plex logins and Plex Pass features to the app. I really like the look of the app but for no ability to share it with others to maintain individual view states is a deterrent at this time.

Not really on my list.  The main reason is that remote connections typically need transcoding for playback or somebodies shared library, and the cost for me to get a transcoding license from plex is cost prohibitive for me.   Since the app is for sale on the Play Store and Amazon App store, I can't use the free transcoding key.

With that said, the source code is available so somebody could always add MyPlex support themselves.  Contributions are welcome.

I do not access the Plex Media server remotely. My setup has all shared users on the local network with all my media encoded to the mp4 (AVC, AAC & AC3 5.1) format which eliminates the need for transcoding. Is there a way you could provide an option for my scenario? Probably not but why not ask.

Are you running multiple Plex Servers on the same network?  If so, you can switch between them with Serenity.  Go to Settings, then Discovered Servers.  You should get a list of available servers to switch too.

I am running only one Plex Media Server on the local network. I really would like to use your app but as stated earlier the need to keep shared users view states seperate from each other. I'll have to stop looking at the teasing preview of your sharp looking Plex alternative app that I can not use for now.

Yeah unfortunately your use case isn't what Serenity is target.   Plex needs to make true Multi-User support available on your server without requiring My Plex.  Too many gotchas if you don't have a Internet connection available.   (Yes it happens, was without internet for about 6 hours the other night due to a Fiber Cable being cut, if I had relied on My Plex some functionality like Multi-User support would not have worked.)

Does the app show individual Movies and TV Shows library sections from which to choose from? In addition, does it have an onscreen option to stretch a widescreen movie to eliminate the black bars like PHT and XBMC provide?

I decided to give the app a try and like the look of it. It would be nice if there was a list vew on the Home Screen. I am seeing posters stuttering when sliding right or left in detail view. Any way to improve this?

Turn off the animation for the Gallery.  It is a bug in the gallery view that is being used.  You can control all the Animations in the Settings.  Enable or disable them to fit your device.

Any plans for making the Home Screen have an option for list view?

Yes, thinking of reworking the home screen a bit to allow people to switch servers, and also possibly add some On Deck/Recently Added to the home screen as well, but no exact time frame for it.  Still researching what I think is the best way to handle it.

A List view is planned as well for the Movies and TV Shows as well.
