I’ve been running the official docker image and things have worked great until today. I tried to log in remotely and could not see my server. I tried to log in locally, by connecting to 127.0.0.1:32400/web and I still cannot see the server. I see an option to add media, but it directs me to the page on plex.tv where I can download a server, yet I thought I connected to the server! There are no server options when I connect locally. Once I am asked to log in and supply my credentials, I am directed to Plex Web. I figured my database got hosed, so I relocated the files so that the docker image would start with a fresh database, and I’m still getting the same result. Maddening. I have plexpass, and this should be the latest version of PMS because if I understand correctly the official docker image auto-updates itself when restarted. Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried searching for a similar issue, and can’t find anything.
Doesn’t sound so much like your server got “hosed” but like you might have been using it with a different account?!
Can you find the related files mentioned in your Plex setup and clear the necessary information described in the below support article to get back access?
Thank you for your response. I’ve tried to follow the instructions as outlined in the article but no dice. I found the XML file and deleted the offending key pairs, but I get the same result: when I log into the localhost, I don’t even see the Plex server at all - I just see Plex web. Even when I point my docker Plex library directory to an empty directory I get the same result. In order to eliminate the possibility of this being a networking issue, I downloaded the MacOS version of Plex server to run on my workstation, and when I tried that, a server was detected. Whenever I try to access localhost on my docker instance, I get asked to sign in and then I am directed to Plex web without any sign of the server. I’ve tried restarting the docker service to see if that fixes it, but I get the same result, yet the Plex server on my mac workstation is able to see a server without any issue. This is perPlexing.
