I’ve been using Plex for over a decade and have had mostly smooth sailing. I’m running my server on an iMac and about 4-6 months ago I noticed that my server was just missing. It sometimes goes down and I restart of reinstall or run updates but this time when I do all that it’s just not listed in my server list. My iMac is listed instead and of course my library is not part of that server.
Does anyone know where to start with this issue?
Many thanks.

Normally the plex media library is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/.
When I go to this location there is no Plex Media Server in the Application Support folder. Is there something that happened in the macOS that would have gotten rid of this or maybe changed its location? I don’t understand why it has disappeared.
I found a back up copy of my PMS folder and when I dropped it in the Application Support folder and started up a newly downloaded PMS it did not recover my library. Is this not the way to backup my PMS library? I did not back up the com.plist file. Is that the mistake I made? Is there proper backup instructions somewhere? Hello? It’s very quiet in here.
