it keep saying failed to download subtitle, to all my movies, and i dont know why
my plax is installed on a nas server
Can you grab the server logs and upload the zip file here?
I suspect the error is because PlexMediaServer can’t write (save) the subtitle files.
Can you help me understand this?
- start playback of Titanic , which has subtitles selected.
- gets the SRT subtitles.

it works if i upload from thirdpart (subscene)
but plex wont download any
who are you attempting to download from (in PMS)?
There were no download errors nor any permission errors (what I expected) of either kind.
Go to settings –> account
And look here
If you have it selected the way I do you will rarely get any downloads. Opensubtitles has a pretty poor selection of foreign language only/forced subtitles
Change that selection and try again… “only show SDH subtitles” could also be a problem
@JaysPlex i tried all of them, and nothing worked
@ChuckPa i’m not sure what you mean by “who”, but it looks like this when i try to download the subtitle
