My top 5 wishlist for 2021

– Custom report generator to export in excel your media library informations; (Example for series: status, date released, network…). Why not make it for plexpass users only!

– An option to detect all the missing files from the hard drive that are not in the library; (same as the UNMATCH and or DUPLICATES). Could be name MISSING FILES

– In the series, add a field for the status of it. If endend, indicated the number of years; (example: ended, in production. TVDB gives this information easily…)

– An enhanced series agent such as the new movie agent that came this year wich is pretty good; (please do not forget to include to keep original title…)

– IMDB rating for series.

Check out the ExportTools plugin.

That is confusing. Every file that you don’t have is missing from the hard drive and not in the library.

A new TV series agent is being released soon.

Ability to hide those extremely biased Rotten Tomatoes reviews. I’d love to get this option on Plex.

I think the OP means movie files that are physically there but* not picked up by Plex at all (so “missing in Plex”).

[edit|: Typo *]

Possibly. I have to go by what was written. :slightly_smiling_face:

Exactly. I do use WEBTOOLS and the FIND MEDIA option. This is really useful when you have few hundreds of movies.

I think that when PLEX is unable to scrape the information, it drops the movie. Would be nice to import it and we would do the rest manually. It could be only because the date and or the movie name is unkwown.

We could call it UNKNOW feature.

Thanx. Regards.

Export Plugin is a third party and I am unable to get it working. It’s getting old and not supported by Plex.

I would call it UNKNOWN files. I think Plex only import it if it was able to find the information. It should import everything. Sometime, it’s only the date and or the movie name that is inconrrect, so it would be nice to correct it manually.

I do use WEBTOOLS with findmedia option but it’s getting old and do not work as good as before.

As per example, Windows indicates 232 movie folder but in plex, it says 217.

So wich one are missing… go figure…

That could be a part of the reporting feature.

Maybe your original post should say;

– An option to detect all files that are on the hard drive but are not shown in the library

I wasn’t suggesting it as a solution, just letting you know it was available.
I agree, reporting would be a nice option.

Maybe a PAID PLUGIN. I would pay for this big time!

Unfortunately, Plex no longer supports plugins at all.

Hummmm… didn’t knew that. Thanx for the update. Maybe a new verison of PLEX, why not PLEX PRO.

Do not get me wrong, Plex is a good but can be improved and get better but the support lacks a lot.

I do understand that Plex will respond to 90% in features of the customers but others need more advanced feature.

Thanx. Regards.

We have that. That’s why we pay for a Plex Pass.

Well, I do not know if other member can say the same but DEVELOPMENT and BUGFIX takes lots of time to be applied.

  • A filter option to display “New” shows only when viewing Guide listings.

Not sure if this has been raised before, but I would like to only view “New” shows when skipping through the Guide.

Shows/programs/movies that are not first-run would be blank or greyed-out. This would make it easier to identify those shows of interest that are new for the week.
