MyCloud Home Plex Server disappearing twice recently

Hi everybody, I’ve been losing my server entirely a couple times in the past 2-3 weeks, would love to understand what’s happening and get things stable.

Set Up:

  • I’m using MyCloud Home
  • I use Plex app on Mac, iPad and Apple TVs across the house

The problem:

  • 2 or 3 weeks ago Plex suddenly couldn’t find my server, and completely removed it from the interface
  • Eventually I found out how to bring it back, go on MyCloud Home website and re-Enable Plex
  • All the content was back, but I did lose all the covers I had modified as well as most of the new sorting titles i had set up
  • All the covers that were gone were replaced with random frames from the movie/show, super weird and annoying to redo.
  • Everything was great again for about 1 week, and 2 or 3 days ago, it happened again, server is gone.
  • I haven’t re-Enable it again because I fear I’m gonna have to re-custom most of my stuff again

Where I need help:

  • What’s causing the issue?
  • Should I re-Enable through MyCloud Home?
  • Will I lose all my covers and titles again? Can this be saved somewhere? Isn’t it supposed to save itself!?
  • Can I prevent this in the future?

I re-enabled Plex via the MyCloud website but I consistently lose access to it. When I do have access to it, it is incredibly slow, I can barely navigate, let alone Play something is almost impossible. I’ve been relying on playing source files from my Mac via airplay to the TV these days.

Lost my entire server again today… maybe due to the security breach that happened to Plex. Had to disable and re-enable from MyCloud home. It prompted me to configure the libraries, and then proceeded to re-sync from scratch the whole library, losing once more (I stopped counting) all my covers, sorting titles and seen state. This is getting incredibly frustrating, and the lack of support makes me want to give up on Plex. Anybody here that could help me understand what’s happening?
