after I have setup PlexConnect on my plex media server (mac mini) i am not able yo connect to myplex from my PMS, so i am no longer able to connect to plex outside my house.... this is strange to me because i don´t think that plexconnect should have anything to do with plex setup/myplex

but have any of you have the same problem?

It's not a problem. Myplex feature isn't yet supported in plexconnect. i would love it on atv too :)

It works for me. I don't think they're related.  

If you stop plexconnect, does myplex resume working?

Has it worked prior? Is 32400 open on your router pointed to pms?

Myplex on my server has been working over a year… But since yesterday the plex Setup is not working normally… But i manage to get plex working on my Lan again… So i Will try to working with myplex today again

AS Info i can tell that i am using airport Extreme as my router

Maybe your ip changed on pms, rendering the port forward unusable on your router?

I am using a static IP adress on my PMS, i was not able to connect myplex on the server so i log out, and then try to log in again, but it says "there is a problem to login to myplex", i have no problem login in to myplex from myplex.plexapp.com, so it´s something to do with my plex install or samething... maybe I should make a fresh install of it all

Use my first link in my signature. Delete all your old apps/downloaded installation files, certs etc.

When you say delete all apps, installation files and cert, do you only think of plecconnect then? or also plexx installation?

Everything brother. Downloaded pms, plexconnect, certs, old apps, starup scripts etc. reinstall it all to your mac and your atv rule everything out.

Ok iwill try to do that... as info I can tell that I'm able to login again from my PMS to myplex (deleted my server on myplex.plexapp.com), but myplex still not able to connect to my server...

Myplex can be weird sometimes fresh files should get you going. If not maybe a network issue, you seem like you know enough to get it done.

Thanks for the support wahlman... i will let you now when I have restall it all again, but I don´t have the time for it here this morning... so it has to be later this day...

Now I have uninstall plex and the files that come with it, i was using this guide

  • /Applications/Plex Media Server.app
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server
  • ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.plexapp.mediaserver.plist
  • ~/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist

After that I install plex media server 0.9.8.6, and unfortunately still have problem with myplex... 

so i will try to read some more in the myplex wiki page...

I think your issue is unrelated to plexconnect maybe post in the myplex forums. If all you are looking for is myplex to work outside your home on non appletv devices this is probably not the place to post your question.

Hi again Wahlman... Just as info I can inform you that I found out last night that my ISP has configured NAT on there network, and they did this last week, so I guess the problem lies there ;o)
