Plex media player broken...sometimes?

Hi, I don't know what I am doing wrong or where I should start to search for error but I should try to limit of my network knowledge to explain my issues.

First off, when plex is working it is absolutely perfect in every way so thanks to all who been working on it.

Unfortinatly, my experience is that it is extremely unstable? Or maybe is my setup the cause of it being unreliable?

This is how I run Plex:

modem > shared router in building > my router > PC with plex server (wired connection all the way)

PC - Plex media server

Macbook - Plex media player

iphone - Plex app

PS3 - built in media server connecting to plex

aTV3 - PLex connect (with fix installed successfully)

Now, everything worked flawlessly yesterday. All devices could access everything and play everything. Today, Macbook and aTV doesnt work anylonger and I haven't change a thing to my knowledge. I reinstalled PMS on my PC, I restarted all machines and network but nothing seem to do it.

The PMS on the PC seem to be running fine, I can still access and launch everything from within, also I can still access everything like normal on my iphone and on my PS3.

On my macbook, when launching Plex media player, I can see all my folders, but they are all empty

On my aTV, I can connect to trailers but once in I only get the menu and "no response from plex media server"

As stated above, yesterday I successfully updated the aTV3 with the plex connect fix and it was all working as intended.

Any ideas where to start?

If the Plex Media Player on your Macbook is affected it is unlikely that it is a Plexconnect issue. It sounds like a PMS connection issue. Maybe ask your question in the Windows PMS forum as well. Also, what machine are you running Plexconnect on? The PC or the MacBook?

SOLVED

PMS settings for "myplex>show advanced" had "require authentication for local networks" checked for some reason, I unchecked it and it solved the issue for my macbook.

The config file for plexconnect had a missing path in it, also for "some" reason. The path to certification only had the path to the folder (./assets/certificates), so when added path to the actual cert "./assets/certificates/trailers.pem" it also solved my aTV3 issues.

Again, thanks for a great program

same here...

working yesterday with fix...

when i got up, it sort of worked... then stopped... lol ...

now i cant even get into trailers... lol

EDIT: working again =)
