The MythTV has released a new version .25 that includes an API for viewing and interacting with their software. Is there any channel dev that would be able to work on this? I am not a python programmer, in fact the only programming I can manage is VB and I unfortunately do not have time to pickup a new skill at the moment.

Heh - I wish I could offer some help. I’m in the same boat. I finally got Myth up and running in OS X but it would be much nicer to only run Plex instead of Plex and the Myth front-end.
I would be very interested about the details of setting up and running of Myth - could you provide a primer with a detailed step-by-step procedure? Many thanks in advance

I’m a programmer, don’t really know python but I’ve hacked a few scripts. I have a functioning plex and mythtv server and I’ve written a myth plug in using the new 0.25 API for the rygel DLNA server. I’m currently reading the plex channel dev guide.
What functionality does your plugin provide? Right now I’m using eyetv separately. Does the mythtv provide an interface to display guide data, schedule remote recordings etc?
It doesn’t do anything, I have done nought but start learning python and read the developer docs. I’ve suffered a PC failure, both hardware and software, so I have a lot of recovery to do first. My intention is to write a channel that simply provides access to your recordings and works well over the plex DLNA server. It will require myth 0.25 and up because I will be building it over the new myth services API.
@RoboJ1M: If you run into troubles/questions with the Python or Plex Channel Framework, feel free to ask for help. Either via forum post or PM. I do not have a MythTV setup but it sounds like a lot of people are interested in a working Plex integrated solution.
Will do! Got my new Internet connection, physically rebuilding the server tomorrow, software the day after and looking at pycharm as my ide.
