Narcos mexico season 1 not being picked up by plex

I just added folder to my library but it is not being picked up by plex. it is labeled correctly and so are the episode in the folder.

It is a separate show not season 4 on TVDB and moviedb. Nexflix calls it season 1 as well

You should be using S01E01 not 1x01 but other wise naming looks fine

You have colons in some text there so not sure if you have them in file names but should remove them if they are there.

If you have been renaming them a bunch trying to get it to work you may have to do this to clear cache The Plex Dance ā„¢

Whats the correct naming structure?
I have Narcos.Mexico.S01E01.WEBRip.1080p.AC3.H265-d3g, but that is must making it show as a duplicate episode of the regular narcos season 1.

See Media Preparation. Specifically, Naming ā€˜Seriesā€™ & ā€˜Seasonā€™ Based TV Shows.

Plex is picky about naming, especially with TV shows. Stray from the recommendations and it might work, but youā€™re just getting lucky.

And as BigWheel mentions, you should Plex Dance the show after renaming the files.

Example:

/TV Shows
   /Narcos Mexico
      /Season 01
         Narcos Mexico - s01e01.mkv

I was having the same trouble but have managed to get the series picked up properly with descriptions and episode names.

Browse to main page of show and choose Fix Match from the menu.
There are two Narcos: Mexico in my list, choose the one with a score of 85 rather than the one with a score of 100.

thanks - this was driving me nuts, the 85% Fix Match did the trick.
