NAS cannot has remote access after upgrade DSM7.1-42661 and its working

Server Version#:1.27.1.5891.7000

I have upgrade, and other same as miny of a teammate, and his nas and plex works properly, infact, i up to date and grant permissions in two.

When I upgrated mine plex in the apps says that there is no remote access, and believe me, i putted the same permissions in the shared folders, and we have the same version in all, in fact, when I update one, I update the other. So mine works, but i cant access to the content

I put the log code that the plex player shows, because im out the house network and it cant login with the plex server port:32400

Thanks in advance

Thank you for the logs.

There are no errors here.

I do see PMS taking a lot of time to complete work somewhere.

It is not clear why your NAS is so slow. PMS is not this quiet.

How much memory is installed?
Do you have other apps running?

We have both me and my timemate 4 gb of memory, and there are twin NAS.

Look at the resources, I think is not problem of memory, because we are now in Maldives, and I can see content of my teammate, but not mine.

I would now like to request:

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Wait 60 seconds
  3. Start PMS
  4. Do not play any content for 4 minutes (Allow the server to be completely idle)
  5. Download the server logs again (Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs)
  6. Attach that ZIP file here.

Making the process again, is all too slowly and i dont know why, but as I need to download log with file station by we are not in home and dont have another remote port to do, as i read in a nearby thread its the same, here the logs
Logs (1).zip (543.6 KB)

I think I’ve found something.

Randomly, in your logs, I see the network adapter being reset.

Every time this happens, PMS stops processing.

Are you using a wired or WiFi connection at the server ?

Chuck noticed this in my logs about a year ago. Did the switching cables, resetting equipment etc. Turned out I had an ethernet port on my syno that had gone faulty. had to do an RMA.

Wired, of course. And the IP is the 192.168.1.20, not 130, I don’t know what happens

When I come back to home, in a couple of days, Ill try but I can try with the other ethernet port, it has 2. What is a RMA?

Thanks mates

RMA is a Return to Manufacturer Authorization.

It’s where Synology gives you this authorization to send them the NAS
and they will test and repair it (if and as needed).

It’s usually best to start this process by opening a help ticket in their Help app.

Is there nothing else we can do for the plex? Everything is as it should, and well configured, right?

I’m doing the help ticket in synology

Thanks in advance friends

There are things we can do but the some steps are very dramatic.

How about a simple test?

  1. Get a cable connected to the other ethernet port
  2. Configure it to be also on your LAN
  3. Confirm you can sign into the Syno using the other port (ETH1)
  4. When you have both working, Pull out the cable for the first one
  5. Restart Plex
  6. You might not have remote access yet but you’ll be able to confirm there are no network errors – which is what we’re testing

Yes test new cables. Test switching the port on the syno. Also test switching the port on the the router or whatever the syno is plugged into. I wouldn’t jump straight to a rma as it’s a pita and you have to pay for return shipping. There are more things to check first before doing that.

But if it is a dead port, do the rma.

This are the last logs, just now i am at home and every appears go quick, but temporary put is access fully from internet, and after says not, why have an multiple routers conections, and dont have that thing, my conection is direct.

thanks in advance

This is the port mapping that i setted in its moment. Like I have in my other house

Here, in this check of the router, because i’m trying the upnp and says again that there are two or more routers…How can it be?
