Im looking into buying a NAS server, i have been reading through a bunch of material but I have some questions. If im looking at streaming remotely and cant seam to find any information on how well that will work. I also want to run Linux on the NAS and also am not sure how this will affect remote streaming. I would also like to be able to transcode maximum of only 1 stream at 1080p on a budget friendly NAS $300 or less. I was looking at QNAP-TS-251+ but would like some thoughts on this NAS or even some others that could be a good option. I used to be fairly tech savey with this stuff but have fallen way out of touch. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
