Hello, currently I am using your application with an external hard drive but I would love to use your application with a NAS. The problem is that I do not understand anything, I do not know what to buy and how to use it. can you help me in a simple way?

There’s much that needs to be discussed here. There is no “simple” way.

  1. What is your budget?
  2. Do you want PMS installed on the NAS.
  3. How many simultaneous streams do you want/need?
    And many more that other people will chime in to include.

But for me, I bought a cheap ass NAS $80 2-bay to start. Added drives, created a share and gave PLEX access to it. Done… Since then, I’ve bought a few more cheap as crap NAS boxes ($130 4-bays). I don’t have to worry about if the are powerful or whatnot cause my computer does all the transcoding.

Your mileage will vary.

Thank you for your prompt response . I would like to put 12 tera behind my wifi router. what is PMS? sorry I’m French and I do not speak English very well.

I would like to give a try with a budget of 600 dollars. Do you have references to advise me and a technical manual to know how to install a NAS?

It really is important that you tell us how you will use Plex… Just you watching or sharing with friends/family? If so how many people?
