Navigation on the lock screen of our tables / smart phones being used as the remote

I'm using iPAD, sometimes it's iPhone PLEX client as the remote control (iOS 7)... but if I want to pause / resume the video while the screen is locked.. it's little bit tricky (maybe  I should say annoying). The screen has to be unlocked, sometimes the target even reconnected (I think it's regularly issue while I use the chromecast) and get in to the navigation... and finally.. pause / resume.

I think it would be really great if the remote for the music player while the phone/tablet's locked was also available while I watch a movie. I'm not sure if it's a bug or it's simply a feature missing... but it'd be really great if our smart Plex guys could get it in - at least for iOS :D haha... just joking ;-)

Cheers

lucky you bastards! :D

Are you planning to fix this issue? It’s really annoying…

Well they cant “fix” a feature that never existed for iOS. I was told it is a limitation of iOS with video, they would do it if they could.

I did not know that at time time of my other post or I would not have rubbed it in

Who’s said that? I believe that if the navigation can control iOS Plex client audio (that has nothing to do with the internal audio player / iPod) it can control anything… I’m not iOS software engineer but believe the feature is simply not there for the video bit of the client and can be added which cant be a big deal and can make world difference to the video control of our Plex client;) anybody from plex to comment on this???
