Can someone smarter than me tell me why the file on the left Direct Plays without a problem and the one on the right doesn’t? Both are .mp4 and from what I can tell, nearly identical. But…the .mp4 on the left will Direct Play on my LAN and Android devices (if connected to wi-fi) whereas the one on the right WILL ONLY PLAY if I manually set it to transcode and even then it stutters/buffers every 3 seconds.
Environment:
LAN with 1gig up/down all wired with Cat 6
Server - AMD 2950x (16cores) @ 4.2ghz, TitanX x2 SLI, files on NVME to test (so mechanical hard drives aren’t a variable)
