The new HDHomeRun Premium TV service currently has a mix of West Coast and East Coast cable channel feeds. Meaning a purely local cable guide can’t be matched up. For example when using an East coast guide the west coast channels air content a couple hours after the guide says it’s on. This makes it impossible to record anything on those channels.
Is there a priority fix being worked on for this problem? The Channels DVR has a beta fix out already.
Or is this going to be one of those things where Plex ignores it for 6 months before working on a fix? I was wondering if we could get a comment from the developers or their forum helpers on how this will be handled.
I don’t know if this is fix is purely in the hands of Plex or if SiliconDust as to play a part. I know the HDHomeRun guide seems to match the East coast content, and the Channels DVR (beta fix) has a proper guide also. Not sure what they did to make that happen though.
I’d like to know what’s needed. Doe Plex have to rework it’s “guide” system to support a mix of local OTA plus HDHomeRun Cable or can it be fixed simply by publishing a new guide that Plex that use?
