Unless I’ve missed something, there’s still no fix for HDHR Premium west coast guide integration into Plex, correct?
But since I’ve got 2 HDHR Extend tuners (2 physical units, not just the 2 tuners in one unit), how about if I selected one of the HDHRs and only enabled the Premium west coast channels on it? Then I would map the channels to the proper timezone. Wouldn’t this fix the guide in Plex? Waste of a tuner, for sure, but until this is sorted out between SD & plex…
Read that thread darci, but it doesn’t address recording PST feeds. Plex guide only sources from one lineup apparently, so the PST feeds are +3 hrs from “actual air time”.
Cayars, I’ve only seen threads on how to fix XML for non-Plex solutions, do you have a link to a Plex XML fix? Thanks!
Yeah, I’m on the west coast and the Pacific feeds seem to be fine. I used my own zip code and then selected the local Comcast lineup… I’ve checked both USA and AMC and compared the Plex guide, what Plex does show, and compared that to an online guide and they’re the same… (and thanks, I love staring my morning off with “The best non-stick cookware you’ll ever own” )
After doing some searching on an XMLTV EPG, I found this reply by an admin on www.iptv-epg.com, a vendor for EPG XMLs… seems that Plex is an island with Gracenote on this…
Anyone have a solution?? Oh, and it can’t be a Windows-only solution, as I’m 100% Mac)

This was already discussed a few times in this very forum, but here we go again for those, who are lazy to search
It is impossible.
Plex uses its own EPG which they receive from Gracenote.
Gracenote has a self developed category system which nobody knows and nobody else uses.
Plex uses that system to categorize shows and it’s tied to the episode system of shows which is an absolutely wrong approach.
Everything that can not be categorized in Plex, will be categorized as movies.
You have to talk to the Plex developers and ask for “onscreen” or “xmltv_ns” episode system, which is the standard everywhere in the world, except at Gracenote, and a separate category system with humanly readable names made up of letters instead of some obscure numbers.
Actually ask them to respect the XMLTV standards and you will be fine.
