Can only get 1.5 days of TV Schedule and no HDHomeRun premium channels

In an attempt to get the the HDHomeRun Premium channels, I removed the DVR and reset it up using Cable instead of over the air. Plex never showed the channels even though my HDHomeRun Connect and Quattro show them and can “tune” them. When I attempted to just go back to over the air only I got errors when attempting to get the TV Scheduling. Doing the database cleanup allowed me to add the tuners back but only show 3 hours of content. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and even attempted 2 older versions of Plex and can now only get a max of 1.5 days of TV Schedule and will have to see if it even records anything scheduled tonight.

If there is a fix I would like to know as I have pretty much wasted a lot of time already attempting to just getback to where it was , though I would like the additional channels.

Known issue with the guide provider https://status.plex.tv

Don’t know if it is bad design on their part but that page indicates " Resolved - This incident has been resolved. We will continue to monitor the service." So it either really isn’t resolved or the fix breaks the same exact feature because I still can’t get anything past 4pm tomorrow in the guide, nor does Plex reflect the premium HDHomeRun Channels.

I think the “resolved” was left behind by mistake—the timestamp at the top is four minutes after the bit near the bottom.

It does look like Guide data is back to normal. But I still can’t get the HDHomeRun Premium Channels.

Do they show up via the HDHomeRun app and/or at http://my.hdhomerun.com

Yes, both HDHomeRuns reflect their premium channels but Plex dosen’t show them for either regardless of selecting Over the Air or Cable.

Right, sorry Plex doesn’t recognize these channels for guide data; you can choose your local cable company and then manually assign the channels to match up.

What would selecting a cable company do for Plex not showing the channels? You can’t map it when Plex doesn’t reflect it as existing on the tuner. I already know you have to select a cable company and manually map (though HDHomeRun is now a selection but it only gives the premium no over the air), once Plex actually reflects that the channels exist from the tuner. The actual answer is you have to pay for the HDHomeRun Premium Channels before Plex shows them, it will not let you see them in the preview mode like HDHomeRun does, which is annoying because I search for some time to get that answer and it means I am paying for a service before knowing it is acceptable for my current setup. It was annoying as it took almost till 2 am to find this out, get Plex to see the channels, actually get Plex to save the mapping of the channels (multiple attempts and error before it would), and all this to loose channels when I am paying to get more (so I had 76, I now pay for 44 more, I now get 80 channels) while not being able to record from all the new ones because the time doesn’t match up.

Thank you for your replies, my frustration is with Plex and not your assistance. I trouble shoot IT issues all day at work and don’t really enjoy having to come home and spend hours in forums to get my TV Recording solution to work.

No worries, sorry I wasn’t able to help more directly and glad you got it resolved.
