Need help with adding 2nd directory

Let me preface this by saying im a noon at all this.

I have Plex running on my home computer but I run it and view it on my Nvidia Shield. I currently have most of my movies stored on my NAS (Synology DS418Play) and have successfully pointed my Plex to the NAS with no issues. However, I also have a external HDD that is plugged into the back of my Nvidia Shield.

So my question is…Is there a way that I can have Plex pointed to my NAS as well as the external HDD to access my movies? If so, how? I do not see an option to add a secondary source for my movies library

Moving the content from the external HDD to the NAS is not an option at this point.

Can your “home computer” see the drive plugged into the Shield?

No, but I can move the external HDD to the computer (plugged in via USB) if that will help

Yes. The server needs to see the drive to play video from it.

Plug the drive into the server. Add the content to the Library.

Then it should work fine.

I understand that part…what I don’t understand is how to have Plex access 2 separate drives (NAS and external HDD). When I add a Movies Library I am able to point Plex to the NAS. I am not seeing anywhere that it gives me the option to add the movies library by pointing to the NAS AND the external HDD

To access another location, go to the ellipsis (…) next to movies and select edit and add folders. Browse for your external drive and directory as needed then save you’ll see something like:

YES YES YES! Just what I need. Perfect. I appreciate the help.
