Need to update Plex permissions in NAS every time new media replaces existing file

Since updating to DSM 6.x, anytime Radarr downloads a better version of a movie I already have (and deletes the old version) Plex doesn’t recognize the file and removes the movie from the library. But, when I go into the NAS file permissions for my movie library and update plex permission for all folders in the library, Plex recognizes the new file and adds it as “Recently Added.”

How can I get the permissions to automatically update when a new media version is added and old file is deleted?

What are the permissions being set by Radarr?
There are two you need to set to match what exists: Directory and File.

I’m not sure how to find that out.

Radarr initially imports the movie file to the library and Plex reads it successfully. It’s only when that original file is replaced with a newer version (same file name) that Plex doesn’t recognize it. Only when I change permissions at the library level does Plex see it.

You don’t know the permissions your media has on your NAS nor know where the permission settings in Radarr are set?

This is the Permissions setting in Radarr. I have never enabled this before.

This is the permissions for all media in my NAS.

Which username does Radarr run as? (this is extremely important).
Does it run as your username, admin, plex?

I’ll be honest. I set this up years ago and can’t remember how to get into my Pi and find out which user is being used.
