Had a plex server for years. Maid moved my server around while it was running. Lost more drives than had redundancy for due to shaken server syndrome. Spinning disk content gone.
Rescued watched details from SSDs.
Started to re-add content and finished watching the parks and recreation episode I was on.
When I brought the server down and imported the watched data, it popped that episode back in to my watched list. Marked it watched, did not go away. So I marked it unwatched then watched again.
Now I have -1 unwatched episodes.
Conclusion: there are more ‘played records’ than there are episodes, and they’re all marked ‘played’ now so subtracting one from the other gives -1.
This means I imported duplicate records using sqlite3
My question: is this going to cause a problem in the future?
My request: move to mysql server already. With 100 TB of movies/tv shows the server was always sluggish populating watch list / library / etc.
