I have a playlist of about 900 cartoons that I regularly watch on shuffle. I noticed that the new app only seems to play up to season 3 of South Park (the first show in the playlist) and nothing else. Scrolling all the way down in the playlist seems to kinda work but that defeats the purpose of a playlist…The old app worked fine (although it took ages to load the playlist) and none of the other Plex apps have the same issue.

I’m running into this as well. It seems to only shuffle the section of episodes shown on screen or a small section of ones surrounding it as well.
I’m adding to this thread as I’d like to know when this issue will get resolved. I’m having the very same issues with my playlist of about 1200 tv shows.
My shuffling of TV shows ignores certain series which do play when accessing them directly. Jumping in on the bandwagon to hopefully hear of a solution.
+1. When playing a large music playlist, the play list will stop with an HTML 3 decode error. The on other players, this does not happen for the same file. At a minimum I would like Xbox Plex app to log the error, skip the file, and continue. While I appreciate the app letting me reply… “retry” or “skip”… it is not very helpful.
This issue was resolved in an update since. @ikevinax Is this TV shows in a playlist? @devin47 Is the error always on the same files?
Hi Moussa, it does not happens on the same file. Also, If I play the file independently it plays fine. Once the error occurs from the playlist the file will not play, when using “retry”. I can skip over the file and the playlist will continue.
Please enable logging in the app and grab some logs for us so we can look into the issue.

I see your point, but I don’t think so.
It avoids whole series in libraries.
I also have this issue. I just about 2,000 episodes from various shows but shuffle only plays one show. i looked at the logs but its giving me information for that interface (safari and chrome) nothing from xbox one
I just tried with the latest version and I am unable to reproduce, although my playlist has 950 videos in it, not 2000, but all shows played without issues.
@ikevinax @PierceIzFierce Can you reproduce still? I haven’t managed to reproduce this issue in the latest app so the more information the better.
@Moussa I can still reproduce this issue. Do you have the ability to log into my Plex account to try it?

HI Moussa, Sorry for the delay. I have confirmed that a music file will play on the Xbox in other circumstances. Specifically, selecting the file and playing it. The issue seems to occur when a file is played a part of a PlayList, I use Shuffle Play [on]. When selecting the “Retry” button, once the error has occurred, the same HTML 3 decode error displays. The most recent error occurred approximately 6min into an 8min music file.
I can move past the file and the PlayList will continue. But only if I do this manually. It would be better if the PlayList would simply continue and log the error.
