Hi, I recently noticed that an update of the Plex app on Apple TV introduced some bugs with the Skip Intro / Skip Credit buttons.
the buttons do not disappear automatically after a few seconds anymore. They simply stay on-screen forever until you “tap” on the central button.
during the Intro/Credit sections you can’t pause the playback with the central button anymore. Pressing the play/pause button is required.
You can’t just “tap” the central button to show and hide the progress bar during this sections. It shows up, but then the skip buttons are automatically highlighted and a second or third “tap” doesn’t hide the bar anymore.
I think these are all related and can be fixed quickly, but specifically the first point is quite annoying. Having the buttons on-screen without a release timer is pretty annoying.
Thanks for trying to help, but how exactly would this fix a client issue that doesn’t happen on different devices and didn’t happen on the same exact media prior to the latest app update?
Just out of curiosity I tried analyzing, doesn’t change a thing.
To be honest it is not present on my instillation on a ATV (2022). As for different devices they are all different. You mentioned it was not happening prior, Updates at times can to strange things. I would try a re install of the ATV Plex app, I see no other forum noise on your proposed bugs. Take my advice or not, it all part of being a forum contributor.
Didn’t mean to sound rude, it’s just that analyzing the media didn’t make sense in my mind for this specific issue as it’s clearly client related. I did still appreciate the contribution.
Weird that it doesn’t happen on your end.
Still, the only thing that changed prior to this bugs is he app version, so I still think it’s an issue with the latest update. As you said, updates can do strange things.
