New computer, migrate from time machine, weird problems

Not sure whats going on here. I’ll hope this will all make sense. So I’ve been using a 2011 MacBook pro with Mac OS sierra forever and finally got a new iMac for a desktop. I’ve been doing my normal backups all the time with the mbp. Opened iMac, upgraded to Catalina, used migration assistant to transfer everything over from the mbp. Aside from a host of old programs that don’t run on the 64 bit OS everything seemed fine. The biggest issue is my plex media server. I still have my library and same everything on the mbp. obviously as well as on the new iMac. I had to rename my iMac computer. So for starters it seems as tho theres some confusion between both computers, like on my iMac i can’t see my mbp library if I wanted to, says unreachable. However the library even on my iMac is strang, for example in the web browser plex area if you hit the home button it still looking for my MacBook pro as the default server and says unreachable but if click on the left side on MORE then i can see all the servers. My library is there for the iMac that was transferred over from mpb but I can’t make it default plus when i click on the name of the server it says "There was an unexpected error loading this library. Please visit our forums if you continue to have problems. But when I click on the categories of my library movies tv shows etc it works and can be watched. but I can mark things as played etc, its just not working correct. I know its easy to recreate the library but it would be nice to no lose all the data of whats been watch what hasn’t been etc. Its confusing enough I’m sure and there is more issues but it’ll just get to confusing so if anyone has an idea whats going on with my system and can help me out that be greatly appreciated, thank you
Also just to update, so my server on the iMac was viewable as Nathans iMac, I shutdown by map server and now notice on my iMac ins Called Nathans MacBook pro server, still will not allow me to click, just the sub folders of movies and tv shows etc
Also checked for corruption the line gave this back, its greek to me. However I ran for corruption on the MacBook pro that still has everything and works and there is no errors or anything like this on the database, best I can see is something happens during copying and sending it to the new iMac. I recently tried copying the plex media server from the application support area on the MacBook pro but it will not let me as I get an error code -36. Yet it will let me grab it from a recdednt time machine backup so I dunno what’s going on but that’s gotta be the issue,

b Have a post going already but no hits for help yet. Got old 2011 MacBook pro with macOS Sierra 10.12.6 New iMac with Catalina. Did a migration to get all my data from time machine backup. everything good but plex. Can see my media under the tabs (like movies, tv showed) but on the home menu nothing, can’t locate or connect) so did reading and trying to just manually drag over the data from the MacBook following these instructions

However, on the map when ever I try to copy or duplicate the folder in application support I get

The finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “XXXXXXXXXX.bundle” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)

Any thoughts. This is getting frustrating to get my server going properly on this iMac. I don’t care redoing the library in worst cause but hate to lose all the watching items etc. any help would be greatly appreciated

update, I am able to grab the entire folder from a time machine backup but not the actual hd ops the MacBook pro. here’s the weird part tho, so on my map i checked the server database for any corruption, she’s all good. But when I take the time machine folder cause that’s all i can get and that’s what migration assistant would have used that’s where problems are. currently map NO Errors or corruption, new iMac with transfered plex media server folder from time machine , = corruption. Blew is recent info from terminal when trying to test
