Guide is Germany - Kabel Deutschland.
Every race shows up as an indiviual DVR entry instead of showing one Formel 1/Formula 1 entry. Which is not only an inconvenience to schedule but would also clutter my DVR library immensely.

@sa2000 is this issue known?
Unfortunately this is still neither fixed nor even acknowledged.
I would need zip code/lineup/channel/airing times/dates to replicate and look into it
Hello @sa2000,
zip code is irrelevant here (any Bavaria zip code will do, but let’s say as an example 80331 Munich), lineup is Kabel Deutschland Bayern Digital, channels are 103 RTL, 981 Sky Sport 1 and 982 Sky Sport 2.
Next airing times/dates specifically are in the picture below, “Morgen” = “Tomorrow” → 31.08.2019:
As seen in the picture the newest race once again got its own DVR entry with “Großer Preis von Belgien” instead of one “Formel 1” DVR entry with all the races within that one.
The next race in the following week is also already appearing (although without picture) and is called “Formel 1 Großer Preis von Italien 2019”.
@sa2000 I’d appreciate it if you could tell me whether you have forwarded this to TiVO, so hopefully this can be fixed in time for the race next week.
It has not yet because I need to understand the issue and establish if it is a problem at our end or with our provider
I can see that we have a series/show named “Formel 1: Großer Preis von Belgien” and it has a numbeer of episodes
Episode: Freies Training
Episode: Qualifying
That was for RTL for 31 August - which was the date and channel you provided
Are you saying that the structure should be that
Series: “Formel 1”
Season: “Formel 1: Großer Preis von Belgien”
Episodes: “Freies Training” and “Qualifying”
Season: “Formel 1: Großer Preis von Italien”
Episodes: etc
Or
Series: “Formel 1”
Season: “Formel 1 2019”
Episodes:
Formel 1: GroĂźer Preis von Belgien - Freies Training
Formel 1: GroĂźer Preis von Belgien - Qualifying
Formel 1: GroĂźer Preis von Italien - xxxxx
Formel 1: GroĂźer Preis von Italien - xxxxx
Could you give me a directory structure listing of how it was before our migration for the EPG - showing parent directory, sub-directories and filenames
Thanks for getting back to me @sa2000.
Yep, nearly like that. The Seasons were just called Season 2019, not Formel 1 2019.
You can see here that Formula 1 appears to be correct for other countries:
Sure:
Thank you. I will refer it to our provider later this evening
@Wiidesire I have raised this but I now have some reservation about it as any change may impact existing scheduled recordings for users
@sa2000 well - two things:
- Everyone coming from Gracenote scheduling didn’t record the new Formula entries at all since they have another name
- Those who have scheduled the new naming can only do so for 1-2 races since the guide data is only two weeks forward and the name changes for each race
Ergo the only ones affected will be:
New DVR customers from Germany who haven’t scheduled Formula 1 with Gracenote and even then only the next race week is affected since the race after that is three weeks ahead, ergo can’t be scheduled yet.
It simply doesn’t make sense to keep the current state as you have to continuously schedule each race which is obviously a pain with only two weeks ahead. Additionally with each race which has to be manually scheduled there is a new DVR entry in the library, unnecessarily cluttering it.
This has now been discussed with our provider.
Such major changes to the structure of series / season / episode for Sports events would only be done off-season. I think this is the right decision - because some users may have already set recording schedules as per example in these screenshots
Scheduling to record all the Belgium events
and similarly all the Italian events, etc
I am sorry that this is not what you are expecting but it is the safest option for this season
Just to pop in here, USA/Pittsburgh/fios/15222. It is recording as intended and all sorts into “formula one racing.” There’s a few errors in dates (Belgian practice session 2/fp2 is listed as dec 31 2018), which are fine, but Italian fp1,fp2,fp3, qualis and gp are all on my dvr schedule and the Belgian weekend recorded without issue.
@sa2000 If the data would be changed on 09.09 after the Italian Race, then NOBODY IS AFFECTED SINCE YOU CAN’T schedule Singapur yet. Is this so hard to understand?
Maybe you didn’t understand me. Since the guide only goes two weeks ahead, YOU CANNOT SCHEDULE THE RACES OF THIS SEASON AT ALL. Only one race or two races maximum. Since the second next race is three weeks ahead (Singapur), YOU CAN’T SCHEDULE IT YET. The Belgian Race is already over. Make the change after Italy is over (09.09) and be done with it…
Do you understand what I am saying?
@pghhome as said, it works fine in the US, but not for Germany
I can’t schedule GP Singapur (22.09).
I can’t schedule GP Russia (29.09).
I can’t schedule GP Japan (13.10).
I can’t schedule GP Mexico (27.10).
I can’t schedule GP USA (03.11).
I can’t schedule GP Brasil (17.11).
I can’t schedule GP Abu Dhabi (01.12).
Now each ■■■■■■■week I would have to go into DVR, search for the next race and then schedule it. This is horrendous. I don’t understand your reasoning at all.
No need for the anger.
I have passed your suggestion on
@sa2000 Thanks, what has been decided now?
I have passed your suggestion. I do not believe the timeframe is sufficient to implement a fix.
You are able to record the events - it is just going into a directory structure that is not ideal
@sa2000 Any ability to check in on the mlb recording/sorting fails? It’s applicable across all my attempts and I’ve seen others impacted across the forums.

@sa2000 now that the Formula 1 season is over tomorrow, can this finally be fixed for next season?
Our provider knows that they have between now and the start of the new season to address the issue
