Another apparent EPG issue (same show, multiple listings.)

The next season of Formula 1 is going to start the end of the week. Looking in my LiveTV DVR Schedule, I did not see anything coming up for the coming weekend. Searching for “Formula 1 Racing” does indeed bring it up in the Guide, but no season recording was scheduled. I have set up a new season recording, now I have two identical text strings in the Recording Priority list, “Formula 1 Racing” albeit with different icons.

This show is not listed with a year or season in the title. Why is this now a completely new show and the existing season pass doesn’t pick it up?

Hello? Plex?

Just delete both schedules from the DVR and re-create it.

While I’ve already worked around the problem by creating a 2nd recording schedule, I’m MORE interested in knowing why last year’s season and this year’s season are showing up as completely different shows. Seems sort of…not quite right.

Unless… there’s a UUID sort of value embedded in the EPG data and that’s changed from last year to this year. That’d fall back on the EPG provider as an issue: either call the new season something different, or fix the primary key value.
