New Mobile App - Downloads didn't transfer?

@BigWheel I’m on an iPad. Thanks.

Same here. Everything is stuck in “Queued,” insanely annoying. Hope this gets fixed asap.

I appreciate the honesty of this statement. Sync was horribly broken, Downloads was somehow worse. There does seem to be a glimmer of a functional feature in the new Downloads engine that could, eventually, eclipse both of the old implementations. When it works, it’s very fast. That is more than can be said about the old versions.

However, instead of putting out a widely celebrated overhaul of a long problematic feature, instead you guys built the bare minimum functionality to call it “Downloads” and shoved it out the door. That was the mistake.

The community doesn’t appreciate the glossing over of the real issue, which is that even if you liked the Preview UX and the feature overhauls, NOBODY thought it was ready to be the main app. My estimate was 3-6 months of dev time, minimum. It’s been a month and it’s still nowhere close to ready, so I’m happy with my estimate.

I don’t expect you to reply. Critical comments are being ignored in favour of dealing with bug fixes, which I get. Devs want something actionable, not to field complaints from users about release strategy that (most likely) wasn’t even their decision. But I think another statement from Plex is in order, because users are rightfully angry and it is not being addressed.

What the heck happened to Downloads!? Just because I’m offline, does not mean I expect ANY difference in app experience. I should see what is in my watchlist and be able to playback to the downloaded content, same as when online.

It’s basically unusable now. I generally keep several tv series (multiple seasons) and several movies downloaded for playback offline. Now when I’m offline I have to hunt and peck to even find the downloads (why isn’t there a static button on the main page). Then once I find the downloads I’m presented with just a massive file list, no way to tell what has been watched or not and which episode I’m currently on. Also there’s no way to download the entire series, or only unwatched episodes. Also, if I’m online and have the episode downloaded, it’s not defaulting to the downloaded version, it’s still streaming it.

Why did you even allow downloading in the refreshed app, it almost completely unusable. I guess I’ll have to use 3rd party apps (again) for downloads and playback, and unless it changes soon, promising Plex altogether.

Please fix this. Give me the SAME experience offline as online.

I am seeing the same issue. I also started a thread. Still experiancing as of today. Downloads on iPad and iPhone stuck Waiting
