New Photos tagging not working.

I was trying to enable the new photo tagging option. In the instructions, it says open the current photo library, click edit, then choose a language. When I do this, I just have “none”. Then I can’t get any further.

I am running plex on a synology NAS updated to latest version. Has anyone else had issues and knows how to fix?

Which version? You need to be on the latest Plex Pass version which is 1.3.0.

I also cannot get Plex Photo tagging to work. I get the same thing as above - no language selection available. I have a lifetime plex pass and I have just upgraded to the latest plex server 1.2.7.2987 for Linux.

A thought - do you mean we need to be on the latest version of the Plex SERVER, 1.3.0.x ? In which case, it does not seem to be available for download.

If you want to update to Plex Pass releases you must either download it directly from the website or set your Update Channel to Plex Pass in Settings → Server → General.

Ah. I’m on version 1.2.7.2987. This is in the plex interface, which says it’s up to date. I don’t think I had the plex pass version on either. Will test.

This solved the issue. Didn’t realise there was a plex pass drop down. That then allowed me to download and install version 1.3.0.

I’m on Plex Pass Update Channel, Version 1.3.1.3102, but I don’t have a “Option” line when editing my photos folder. It is my understanding that is where I select to have the photos automatically tagged. I cannot select it. Is there another setting I need to select to allow the automatic photo tagging?

Is the server signed in with a Plex Pass enabled account?

Yes it is.

Try and sign out and sign back in, or restart PMS and check again.

Tried that, no luck.

This is annoying. I feel like I have set everything up correctly, running 1.3.3.3148 on a windows 10 machine. No luck. I’ve restarted my machine, PMS, and logged out and back in with no luck. I still do not see an “Option” line. Is there anyone with Plex that I can discuss this?

Okay, I just figured this out. If you are using the Chrome App (which is very nice), you won’t see the ‘Options’ page. If you look through the web app, it shows up. Spread the word!
