I think this is the same issue I am having in the other thread here: Fire Stick stops playing live tv every few minutes, exits to guide. ([FFmpeg] [ERROR] [tls @ 0x81b7e740] Error in the pull function.)
I did a comparison between an older known working version on the Fire Stick 4k and the latest version and found that the new version is not sending out any
GET /:/timeline? requests back to the server while the old version sends these requests exactly every 10 seconds. This is how the player tells the server that it is still playing and how far into the show it is, etc. If the player doesn’t send these packets to the server, the server times out after around 3 minutes.
GET /:/timeline?audioStreamID=288174&duration=3600000&guid=plex%3A%2F%2Fepisode%2F5fd092be83c647002e4057c6&key=%2Flivetv%2Fsessions%2Ffe750750-5f63-4aed-8616-ae2c917d5497&playbackTime=5690&playQueueItemID=6.1-1608652800000&ratingKey=121242&state=playing&time=0&X-Plex-Client-Identifier=c2ba770c8a492cb4-com-plexapp-android&X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Screenshot of search for /timeline in Fire Stick 4k logs using old version of app.
Edit: to add that when watching non-Live TV, like movies, the latest version of the app does send these /:/timeline? requests every 10 seconds. For some reason it does not send them when watching Live TV.
