I am trying to force all my traffic to plex to go through my varnish proxy. And i have identified the issue to be related to the new player as if i change back to use the old player in my app it starts to work or if i open port 32400 to the container running plex. My proxy is listening on port 443.
What works:
- Remote play always works and all traffic goes through my proxy.
- Local play works if i open port 32400 to the container as it seems my client is always trying to connect to the plex.direct url when being in the local network, it doesn’t use the real domain that i have specified in “Custom server access URLs”
- Local play works with port 32400 blocked and using the old player in my app.
So my question, have anyone found a way of making it possible to use the new player without opening port 32400 to the container while being on the same local network as the plex server? I have spent hours googling but haven’t found a solution for it. I wan’t to block port 32400 so all traffic goes through my proxy.
