New player on MiBox - Next button no longer works correctly with new player

After enabling the new video player the “Next” and “Previous” buttons on my remote no longer skip to the next episode in a series, but instead are now buttons with which I can skip second by second forwards or backwards. (Who needs this, who skips second by second?)
With the old player it works as intended meaning, skip forward to the next episode (or backwards) in a TV series.
Please fix this otherwise one would always have to manually move to the On-Screen “Next” button, which is really not needed if I have the buttons on my remote.
