So not running the most recent server I will admit - but the issue to me looks more like an issue with the EPG data/way the DVR is dealing with the data. I found some good deals on HDHomeRun so figured I’d add a spare one in case one fails. Having run 3 tivos before we figured 4 channels would be our minimum to record at once. So a spare should mean never a conflict. But I still run into them and it’s silly. I am including some log chunks here which might show the issue

BUT the show list shows only 2 shows from 19-20, 2 shows 20-21, 4 shows 21-22, an 3 shows 22-23 - which means there should be plenty of tuner availability!!
BUT I am left with a show from 20:30 to 23:00 unable to be recorded
SO when I set it’s recording I said ‘preferred’ which just puts it higher in the list - then it is fine.
THIS is exactly what smart software should be doing for me - manually doing it means a total waste of time.
