I don’t need to rehash all the technical and usability issues with the new system as there are multiple complaints already. Sonos comes to mind.
What I would like to know is, are there any plans to restore the old interface, or at least offer an option to revert to it? If not, we’re going to have to look for an alternative like Channels DVR, because the new Plex experience has made our setup effectively unusable. Thanks.
What is really bugging me is the lack of acknowledgment. At least say you know about the issues and take the feedback serious. Instead it is dead silent with no meaningful updates. This goes beyond bad software. This is giving your paying customers and community the middle finger. So many years with Plex and then this ■■■■. Is the company dying? What is going on?!? Really I need to know if I should stay excited for changes or abandon a sinking ship.
REALLY? All I see is more bugs with each “update” and nothing being fixed. Now android is broken as well, crashes on liveTV. Tonight the guide is a mess on all my devices.
Got emby up and running. Tried Jellyfin but wasn’t thrilled with it. If\when Plex converts Android TV to the new experience, it will be a quick 2 minute switch to emby. Meanwhile, found a few Google Chromecasts and am using Channels DVR for Live TV on all Tv’s. Other option is to upgrade to emby premium and use their live TV. For now, it’s a holding pattern.
True but eventually the TV updates will break it. Honestly though, since Plex can’t be bothered to communicate with their customers about this except for ‘new experience’ coming-soon announcements, then I really don’t want to have anything to do with this company anymore. I posted a question yesterday in the emby forum. Within 30 minutes, a rep answered my question.
