I have the free 80 some channels working on my main account and new managed users since the update but managed users from before don’t seem to have access to it. am i doing something wrong?
It’s probably disabled for managed users.
Head over to Online Media Sources under settings and check.
I’m having the same issue, i even enabled it for movies & tv, live tv. Switch to a managed user and still doesn’t appear.
Also I did enable live tv for my managed users in each profile as well…
Appears for you but not for managed users? Make sure you check the sidebar as it’s not pinned by default.
does the channels work in uk and does it need ariel or is it just need internet ?
Confirmed, I reset their customization as well and still not seeing it.
So this is super frustrating.
Existing managed users don’t see the new ‘Movies & TV’ or ‘Live TV’, but if you create a NEW user, it shows properly. That means the user accounts will lose all their current known play locations if I delete and redo them…

This is not the same thing. You are referencing a completely different issue and fix.
I can confirm the same. Thanks for the tip by the way. I’d rather recreate a few managed profiles than not have any of it.
No problem, glad I could help. Once I recreated my users everything worked perfectly. Not sure if there was ever a fix, the other thread is entirely to long of people mentioning issues so once I recreated my users it solved my problem quick enough.
Yeah I don’t think it’s been fixed. I thought it was my server files corrupted at first so I did a clean install on Linux, no dice, then I thought it was a bug related to Linux PMS, so I switched to Windows but the same thing happened again.
I tried this and it definitely didn’t work.
The Managed User still has no Live TV after being recreated and the setting enabled.
I just fixed another Plex server. On this particular one deleting/re-adding didn’t fix it. I had to go into the server settings, online media sources, toggle Movies & TV and Live TV from Enabled to Disabled. Restart Plex Server, set settings to enabled. This allowed new users to start seeing it.
I’ll give that a try tomorrow morning.
Just wanted to share some extra info that might be useful:
I’ve also found that if you add a library to the live tv plex server, even if empty, then go to Users and Sharing you’ll be able to see that empty library and share it to your users and by extension exposing the live tv to them. You can delete that empty library you’ve created but the live tv will continue to be shared after doing that.
And this way you don’t have to delete a user and lose your watch history or anything.
