The show is set to follow library default, which is set to TheTVDB
Thanks, something definitely looks off. We’ll investigate.
Found the issue. TMDB was linking to the incorrect TVDB episode ids in their database, I’ve corrected it on TMDB now so give it around 48 hours to correct on our end too.
Excellent! Quick work, thank you!
@drzoidberg33 I see this option is still buried in the TV Show settings. Is this going to be moved up to the Manage Library menu to “Upgrade” the library? Any idea when that will happen?

Plex Media Server: 1.22.3.4392
Plex for Mac: 1.30.1.2115
Is this what you’re asking about? Seems to be there. I have updated my server today.
Good luck!
Yep, that’s it! Looks like I just needed another server restart after the initial upgrade/restart. I’ve got the option now.
Make sure to perform “Refresh all metadata”, or the conversion won’t be complete.
American Experience no longer grabs the ‘preferred’ Season Poster - and the problem is I don’t know where it grabbed it from on the old agents:
I can’t begin to describe the chaos that’s happening within my OCD ATM.
Those season posters are from TVDB but they don’t have one available for Season 33 yet.

Season 32 (with poster): American Experience - Aired Order - Season 32 - TheTVDB.com
It would be useful to be able to download posters from within Plex, and edit them. Even me and my good friend the Gimp, can create missing posters for seasons if we need them. Searching the web for the posters we are given as options so we can modify them can often be very tedious and unfruitful.
Amen. <—and also delete the 40 Plex has already <— the ones I’m not using.
I feel Mr. Gimp and myself will be creating an S33 Poster very soon.
Off topic, but as well as the ability to delete unnecessary posters, some sort of indication of the resolution of the image you have chosen would be helpful. They all look good in the little previews for selection, but that changes when you see it in your apps and find you have selected a blurry, lower quality one.
I’m not getting a show poster for Clifford the Big Red Dog (2019). TheTVDB has an image. Clifford the Big Red Dog (2019) - TheTVDB.com. Any reason the image isn’t getting pulled in?
Edit: I’d like to add though, that I’m absolutely astonished at how well this scanner works. The show above is practically the ONLY show that didn’t match out of more than 300 shows. Really nice work!
Hello, I would like to ask a question about TV series ordering. When I select ordering based on thetvdb aired order it still does not match the order at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Aired Order - Season 1 - TheTVDB.com. What am I doing wrong?
I noted that when I migrated over, The show Disneyland (1953) is missing from the new agent. When going to Fix Match, it doesn’t show up.
The last 2 episodes of invincible don’t show any metadata. I tried fix match since they show up in unmatched and realized I can only match it to invincible 2008, 2021 isn’t even an option searched then with IMDb ID what gave me the same and then tvdb id what didn’t find anything at all so something must be off in the metadata set for this show.
Plex doesn’t use the IMDb for tv show metadata.
You might wanna use the TheTVDB ID number to match this series. Invincible (2021) - TheTVDB.com
or alternatively the TMDB ID number Invincible (TV Series 2021- ) — The Movie Database (TMDb)
So:
/TV shows
/Invincible (2021) - {tvdb-368207}
/Season 01
Invincible (2021) - s01e01.ext
Invincible (2021) - s01e02.ext
Invincible (2021) - s01e03.ext
...
or
/TV shows
/Invincible (2021) - {tmdb-95557}
/Season 01
Invincible (2021) - s01e01.ext
Invincible (2021) - s01e02.ext
Invincible (2021) - s01e03.ext
...
tvdb-368207 Did the trick. I used tvdb:368207 and that didn’t work at all.
The dash was used because the colon is an invalid character in some file systems.
