Installed the new Plex desktop app on my work computer. Using a mouse (Logitech office mouse) with a hardware forward and back button. They do not navigate forward or back. These buttons work fine in other applications.
I click Music in the sidebar to bring me to the album list, then click on an album to view its songs. I press the mouse back button. I expect to be taken back to the album list. But nothing happens.
When I get back home, I will try with my Logitech G402 mouse and my Microsoft Surface Mouse and see if they exhibit the same behavior.
That’s weird, I built support for that using a Logitech MS510 wireless in Windows 10. We used to get raked over the coals by PMP users; wasn’t going to let that happen again. Thank for testing your other mice; I appreciate the feedback.
In case you need another nudge, I was about to post about this very issue, but The Dolphin beat me to it. The new Windows Player emulates the Plex Web interface almost exactly, but is missing the mouse button controls, in particular back and forward.
While you’re at it…Adding some keyboard shortcuts for a bunch of actions would be nice. Then I can use my keyboard for back/forward. Also Logitech Options can be used to map my numerous mouse keys to other functions.
