I’m in the process of upgrading my Movie Library to the new agent, and while refreshing metadata for the movie “Split”, I noticed something weird:
The long list of Extras that was there before the refresh disappeared, replaced by only 2 movie trailers. My library is in italian, and the trailers were named “(italian)”.
After changing the metadata language for this specific movie to English and forcing a refresh, all the 10+ extras that were there before appeared once again.
Now, I understand that these extras are not in italian, but why not show them at all?
I’m sure this happened for A LOT of other movies in my library, and it would be a pain to check them all again. Why upgrading to a “better, faster agent” REMOVES content from my library?
If this is by choice, it’s wrong. Most of the extras available are in english, and anyone with their library in a different language is missing out on them.
SOLUTION: display both the localized extras and the english ones, showing the localized extras first (it’s usually just one or two trailers). This way you get localized extras and no one is missing out on the extra content.
EDIT: I noticed that this happens ONLY with movies that have localized trailers. If there is no localized extra, the english ones appear. So, this could be a bug after all.
Continuing the upgrade has led me to discover several other movies with missing extras.
I also noticed that with the old agent, the system worked as I suggested: localized extras first, and the rest after.
Now, a lot of movies that had 10+ extras are left with 1 or 2, which are simply localized trailers, so a lot of content is missing.
Might be good to rework the way extras are arranged.

Are you sure that “Only show trailers” is NOT enabled in the properties of your library?
Just checked, it isn’t:
As I said, movies that don’t have localized trailers are fine, every extra is shown.
When there’s a localized trailer, every other extra disappears.
I just refreshed “Transformers: Age of Extinction” and from a very long list of extras (including the italian trailer, shown first), I am left with only 1, the italian trailer.

In this case, there are more italian trailers, but every other extra vanishes.
How is “Localized subtitles” set in yours?
Disabled. I tried enabling it but it didn’t change much.

So one more appears, I’m guessing it has subtitles, but everything else is still missing.
