Don't agree. A good app is always worth supporting the developer for.
The alternative is we get shoddy apps with ads.
Exactly what would be the 'right direction' then? If turbolag wants to charge for his app, I say good luck to him - he's invested his time, plus the Apple developer fee, so why shouldn't he get something in return if he wants to?

Most apps on the store that cost money, even 99 cent get good ratings. Most apps that are free get bad ratings.
One app developer saw his ratings plummet when he made his app free…
If you want to be a cheapskate, cheap is what you will get.
And last, most apps cost less then ONE beer…

Curious: Do these remote apps interact with the Macs via bluetooth?
I would happily pay for this app, was going to try the XBMC remote app as some reviews say that this also works with plex but I would much rather have an app written specifically for plex.
I also agree that it should be a paid for app, why should the developer be out of pocket after paying his fee and his time.
I am currently using AirMouse which I spent £4.99 over a year ago and I hardly use it. Instead I rely on my wireless keyboard, so if this works as I hope it does then fantastic.
I would happily test out as I have the 3GS and my wife has the 2G we run Plex and mac mini with plex media server on my macbook pro.
Just take your time and make sure you are happy with the app before you submit it to Apple. (don’t rush it).
Also would like to beta-test… Let me know what you need
PS. Is the iPod touch also be supported?

if I understand correctly, it would give the opportunity to browse through our Plex movie collection and launch a movie from the iPhone ?
just one question, will it keep the info ? I mean, if I’m away from my home, could I show my movie collection to a friend ?
I defiantly will buy it, however it will be nicer if the lists like episodes list and keys like play... use same theme as Plex MediaStream. To be honest I am not in favor of current list in the images (nor movies, neither tv episode). It also could be very interesting to use the fanart in the background instead of the default image whenever it is possible.
This is a great job. Please also check [AirVideo](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/10800-air-video-iphone-app/). It is a strong video playback app that reads files over the network. If you app could do the same and also read the Plex library, it would be the best app ever ;)

Wi-fi, usually. Your iPhone / iPod Touch needs to be on the same wireless network.

I would like to see a remote app that would allow me to listen to my music without having the tv on. Oh yeah I would pay for the app. I use ■■■■■■ and love it. Bring on more PLEX remotes!
