I like the new Plex channel for my Roku TV but I’m finding that the interface is not very responsive. When I navigate with the remote, it takes about a half a second to a second for it to respond, whereas the old classic Roku channel responded right away.
I have two Roku TVs and they are both having the same issue. Is there anything I can do to improve the performance?
Hmm I find it quite zippy. Which Roku units do you have?

I assume you actually mean you are using a Roku TV, not an external Roku, just to confirm. Can you describe where it takes half a second to respond?
I have to agree with the original post. I use a Roku 3 with a wired connection to my router and HDMI to the TV. Clicking around the new UI is noticeably slower than Plex Classic, though not usually as slow as MCCOHUNT is experiencing.
With Plex Classic, navigating through movies, music, or photos, clicking anything results in near-instantaneous action on-screen. With 4.0.0 or 4.0.3, there is a noticeable lag, I estimate 1/4 to 1/2 second for the UI to respond. It seems especially noticeable if a music track is playing. Once I start a track playing, if I hit the Back button, it takes about 1/2 second to respond. The page switch is snappy, it just happens a half second after I hit the button.

I do get that delay hitting back after starting a music track playing. And there might be a slight lag changing screens, again only while music is playing … but it’s not terribly noticable. Scrolling through icons lists is pretty fast for me, whether or not music is playing.
To be fair I didn’t really use the old Roku channel, but have come from PHT on Windows with a USB remote control that was much more laggy, so my expectations are probably fairly low 
Are you doing weekly optimisations on your PMS server?

Yes I have two Roku TV’s … not the actual units. The lag is on multiple screens, but most notably when I’m scrolling through my movies or tv lists, scrolling through the seasons, and when scrolling through TV episodes.
I notice the lag the most when scrolling long lists in the channel section.
I notice it too, on a Roku 2XS. I resorted to using Plex classic.
