New QNAP +251 with latest Plex Installed and Latest Firmware on Qnap cant find server

I can’t get the plex app to find my qnap plex server with the latest firmware and plex server 64bit installed. I had an old qnap and it worked perfectly. I also just switched to Orbi router I heard that might be a issue. I have read every foumn post on this subject and I’m just stumped, any suggestions.

Please be specific with version numbers.

There are multiple PMS versions and currently two QTS versions.

Qnap Device TS 251+
Router : Netgear Orbi
Qnap 4.3.5.0699
Plex MS: 1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d

September 21, 2018 . 64 bit

Thank you

Back it down to QTS .4.3.4 production.
There are issues for some on QTS 4.3.5 Beta (emphasis on Beta) here

For what it’s worth, I also have a TS-251+ running version 4.3.5.0699

The two most versions that worked for me are:

PlexMediaServer_1.13.5.5332-21ab172de_x86_64.qpkg (from older builds)

And the most recent:

PlexMediaServer_1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d_x86_64.qpkg

The ones in between I had the same issues, but ymmv. I toggled off Beta participation in Qnap for the future but don’t feel like downgrading. I’ll just wait until 4.3.5 is released as stable.

Still not luck even downloaded the new Qnap firmware this morning and still nothing. It will not find the server.

@jxnx13

When you say “find”, are you first accessing PMS to perform the setup and associating with with your account?

Secondly, Is your LAN using RFC1918 addressing? (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x)

It always says looking for servers it never sees it. I cant do initial setup.
