New server setup reporting "core compnenet problem"

I’ve built a TrueNAS scale server and am now spinning up a Plex server on it as an app (to replace my current Zotac box). I get “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.” upon loading the web interface. I proceeded through the setup, and it works. However, each time I return to the web interface, it takes me back to the setup again with that message. I can just jump to the finish, and the server is there with everything that was set up.

The Zotac box uses the same library storage as the new TrueNAS app mounted by NFS.

Playback from the web interface works. It shows up on the iPad app and plays.

I’ve included the logs. I would appreciate some help or direction on where to look for the “problem”.

Same issue here, today. Had to do a fresh install on TrueNAS Scale as I missed the upgrade window.
I added libraries back but every time I return to my server’s local web interface I get the setup interface and then “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.”
Multiple workstations exhibit the issue.

Had the same thing occur after a recent host move.

Try the following:

• Start by Removing the SMB shares

• Verify the Container Notes Tile shows the following

  

• If not, this correct your permissions on the HOST dataset

  Push Recursive permissions from the Dataset of above the docker container,
  Typically 755 or 775 will do the trick
  e.g.

  

Note: DO NOT OPEN the permissions at the Top Storage Level (aka Dataset name)

From there try restarting or rebuilding the app process

Leave most items default except Plex Data Storage. This will allow you navigate to your media from the mount point of the container.

Once logged in and authenticated Click on NAME, as this should now function properly.
