I recently built a new server. Ryzen 7, 16G of ram, 500G Samsung SSD for OS. Two 6TB Reds for storage. I originally installed Linux server. No matter what I did (I tried every permission hack, set different folders) I could not get a transcoded file to play. I got an error. I ripped plex, Linux, even gave up and tried windows and I get the same results. Right now I am not getting the error but it is clocking. The video originally played on direct play, I forced it to transcode to recreate the issue. Trying to figure out how to attach my logs.
I really want to go back to Linux but need to figure out the issue first. Doesn’t appear to matter what OS I am on. I also tried an older version of plex with the same results.
The speeds just continues to drop as well, until it errors out.
