On the new Tizen TV app (TV Model UE55NU7400), whenever I play a movie with multiple versions (example: original + optimized for TV) the app is unable to play the version I select. For instance, despite selecting the original version, the movie plays the optimized version - when I check the playback quality I can tell which version is playing. Also the audio channel selection isn’t working in this case, no matter what I select, let’s say there’s a file with English and Hungarian audio tracks, I select English, but Plex will insist on playing Hungarian.
This is an issue only with the new Tizen version which was previously available as an optional beta. I’m 100% sure of this because when I opted in for the beta earlier, I had the same issue and rolling back to the stable version the issue was immediately gone. Now I don’t have that choice because Plex rolled out the beta as the new “standard”.
In a different thread I’ve seem Plex a Plex employee recommend turning off “Direct Play” on the TV app to fix this. Sorry but that’s not acceptable to me, Direct Play worked seamlessly with the previous version, please either fix this or give me the option to roll back to the stable version.
